I Peter 1:15-16 (MSG) As obedient children, let yourselves be pulled into a way of life shaped by God’s life, a life energetic and blazing with holiness. God said, “I am holy; you be holy.”
Jesus taught his disciples to pray: Hallowed by Your name. In these words we are invited to experience the transforming power of prayer. The throne of God is an actual place—not some mysterious place “up there somewhere.” John describes it (Rev. 4:8) and tells us an innumerable host of angels surround it and worship saying, “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty…” We are called to gather before our Father and bring Him our praise. The process is two-fold. Our worship declares His glory and in the process we receive His transforming power in our lives, our situations and needs. Encountering God at His throne regularly for worship results in true holiness. So don’t rush your worship. Linger.
