Colossians 3:15 (NIV) Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
What do you let rule in your heart? Do you keep watch every day so that bitterness, anger, and wrath doesn’t find its way in? Do you review your soul every evening with the Lord to let Him show you things during the day that happened that you otherwise would not notice without His tutorage? Jesus Christ is head of the Church—one body. If we are aligned with His mind (Romans 12:2) and led by His Spirit (Romans 8:14), then peace will rule in the Church and we will all be united in Christ. We are called to demonstrate peace. And we are called to live in gratitude. Don’t get sucked up into that destructive tornado of complaining. May the attitude of gratitude be our default emotion.
