Matthew 11:28 (NLT) Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”
God calls to us. His call comes to us through Jesus, who invites us to be His disciples and to know the Father through Him. To be a Christian is to respond to God’s call, to know and love Him, and to love and serve others. It is the mercy of God that we can become His people and walk in faith and enjoy a life that is rooted in His love, peace, and divine purposes. Some people are afraid of God and withdraw from His call—they see Him only as a judge waiting to correct and discipline them for all their failures. Others are so aware of their “sins” that they hide from God and yet He pursues them with solutions and redemption. People usually don’t surrender their lives to someone they don’t trust. People only yield to someone whom they know loves them. That’s why the message of God’s love is so important for people to grasp. How has God manifested His love and care in your life?
