Genesis 3:1-6 (NIV)
Rev. 12:9 …that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.
Notice that Adam and Eve’s temptation came from outside of man. “God did not introduce sin into the world. Neither did He tempt man to sin. Sin is an invasion of God’s perfect creation. And this invasion had a personal source.” Satan slithers stealthily along and whispers doubts in one’s mind about the goodness of God and the truth of His word. Don’t be deceived. Pay attention to your thoughts. Recognize the difference between Holy Spirit impulses and the enemy’s voice.
