Joshua 4:1-9 (NIV) (focus verse 7b)
“…These stones are to be a memorial to the people of Israel forever.”
The stones from the middle of Jordan’s river piled up as a memorial would be “a sign to future generations of Israelites who had not seen the power of God. It would reveal the might of God to all people. It would instill in the hearts of the people an abiding fear of God.”* Have you collected any tokens along the way that remind you of God’s interventions in your life? Do you have a memory box with little items in it that you can pull out to show your children or grandchildren as you tell the story associated with it? Don’t forget what God has done for you! Tell your stories. Give Him glory. Start a memory box.
