James 3:18 (NIV) Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness. (James 1:20) – The wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
Paul told Timothy: “Keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist” (II Tim. 4:5). Through “faith and patience we inherit the promises” (Heb 6:12). We do not progress through hateful attitudes, actions and words. We must “keep our heads” and sow in peace. We do our battles in prayer and patiently await a harvest of righteousness. Are you sowing words of kindness and grace and truth into those whose hearts are hardened by longstanding, deep seated wounds? Are you asking God for revelation to penetrate preconceived ideas and bring down strongholds that are resistant to matters of faith in Jesus Christ? Faithfully water the difficult soil. Speak peacemaking words in a charged atmosphere. Love builds the bridge. “Perfect love drives out all fear” (I John 4:18).
