Exodus 33:12-17 (NIV focus verse 16) “How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?”
Moses was “burdened with the heavy task before Him and felt in need of assistance. He prayed for a knowledge of God through a revelation of His ways.” Do we seek to know the Lord and His ways? Or are we always looking to His hand and what He can give to us? Do we want to know His perspective and wisdom for life? Moses knew something very profound that we need to know: the PRESENCE OF GOD is the distinguishing mark of God’s people! If we are carriers of His Presence, then people will sense and know that we are connected to God. They will feel it when we pray, they will see it in the way we process life, they will witness it in our behavior and daily choices. How badly do you want God’s Presence in your life? Don’t be satisfied with a mediocre faith. Moses knew how much he needed God’s daily Presence. Do you?
