Deuteronomy 8:3 He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna…to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
When life dishes out major challenges, we need to reflect on this important truth. God’s Word sustains us. It provides encouragement, wisdom, comfort, and promises! It is our weapon against misbeliefs. It is the truth in which we find consolation and rest when life batters us with bad news. We do not know what this year will bring, but one thing we can count on: God never forsakes His people. He always provides us with “food that is convenient for me” (Prov. 30:8 KJV)—food that is exactly what we need to sustain us in particular life challenges.
