Acts 4:33 (NLT)
The apostles testified powerfully to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and God’s great blessing was upon them all.
“The disciples as a group were oppressed by the emotion of fear. Primarily they dreaded the Jewish rulers, who had sent Jesus to His death and might be willing to deal with them in similar fashion. They had not left Jerusalem, perhaps because they felt that remaining quietly in the city would make them less conspicuous than sudden flight would, and they met behind closed doors lest their presence should be known. The resurrection changed their fear into courage.” On the day of Pentecost and afterward they had great power and confidently testified to the resurrection. In the aftermath of Easter, make sure you are telling your story of how you found faith in Jesus and how that faith has transformed your life. This is an annual holiday that provides us with a unique opportunity to share our faith and point to the Savior.
