But when the Friend comes, the Spirit of Truth, He will take you by the hand and guide you into all the truth there is. He won’t draw attention to Himself, but will make sense out of what is about to happen and, indeed, out of all that I have done and said.
As we study the life of Jesus Christ by reading the gospels, the Holy Spirit can direct our thoughts and unpack applications for us today. But we must read with an open heart. And we must create “white space” in our busy daily schedules to allow time for reflection. As we ponder, the Holy Spirit is able to connect those ancient words with real-time experiences and make applications that lead to spiritual transformation in us. Invite the Holy Spirit to teach you.
