Spiritual warfare is real. It was real in Daniel’s day, and it is real today. And as we move into an increasingly “post-Christian” culture, we must be aware (and prepared) because evil will “by means of many instrumentalities and circumstances, endeavor to wear out the saints. The heart of the Christian warrior tends to faint and, craving for peace and rest, is tempted to a cessation of hostilities by making a truce with the world, the flesh, and the devil, which, however, can be attained only by abject surrender and total defeat.” That is why it is so critical that we know what God’s Word says about the believer’s warfare, the armor God has given to us, and the devices Satan uses to subvert our faith.
