DAILY DEVOTIONS – SATURDAY AUGUST 22, 2020

Hebrews 12:2 (KJV)  …for the joy that was set before Him,  (Jesus)  endured the cross…

We live out of many different lanes,  (business,  personal life,  etc.),  but not all of them evoke the same feelings or outcomes.  When one lane becomes especially difficult,  (i.e.  health or job),  and we experience a season of high stress,  we need to make sure we are attending to other,  less-stressful lanes  (i.e. grandchildren or hobbies).  Jesus endured the cross because He kept an eye on the  “other lane”—the joy ahead.  Cultivate compartmentalization.  It will help you  “endure hardship”  (Heb. 12:7;  2 Tim. 4:5).
