Deuteronomy 3:19-20 (focus verse 20b) After that, each man may return to the land I’ve given you here.
God was instructing the people: “Go to battle for your brothers and help them win their land on that side of the Jordan, THEN you can settle down into this land on this side of the Jordan—your wives and children and livestock will be here waiting for you.” What does this teach us? “We are not to rest content with our own conquests without helping others.” You’ve won a few battles; now how can you mentor a young leader? You’ve walked through some trials; now how can you encourage someone else who is going through the same thing? Let’s help one another win.
