Jeremiah 9:23-24 (NIV) This is what the Lord says: “Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches, but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the Lord.“
Left to itself, our needle defaults naturally toward self-righteousness. That’s why we need to realign regularly to what God prioritizes: kindness, justice, righteousness. The lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, and the pride of life are the building blocks of earthly kingdoms that wash away in the passing of time (I John 2:16-17). But whoever lives and believes in Me will never die (John 11:26).
