DEVOTIONS – THURSDAY JULY 25, 2019

Philippians 1:20 (MSG)  I can hardly wait to continue on my course.  I don’t expect to be embarrassed in the least.  On the contrary,  everything happening to me in this jail only serves to make Christ more accurately known,  regardless of whether I live or die.  They didn’t shut me up;  they gave me a pulpit!

“Paul had the unconquerable attitude of a giant in the faith.  Paul is certain of his deliverance—because the Philippians prayed,  and because of the presence of God’s Spirit with him.  Even if he is executed,  his mission will be completed and Christ will be magnified!”  What  “pulpit”  has the Lord given to you?  Maybe it was difficult on the body or soul,  but it opened opportunities to share your faith.  What terrible trials have you gone through and,  in the process,  discovered the comfort and enablement of the Lord?  Someone needs to hear about how you came through it, what you learned, how your faith grew, and how Christ sustained you in the process.
